Register your Paper in the largest HVAC-R Congress in Latin America
ABRAVA and the XVII CONBRAVA organizing committee invites all technical, academic and professional communities interested in disseminating thermo-environmental engineering knowledge, to register Papers to be presented in this event with no publication fee.
The event aims to update and disseminate knowledge and experiences in Refrigeration, Air Conditioning, Ventilation, Heating and Air Treatment areas, offering the sector contribution of technological improvement and professional development. Simultaneously held with the congress is the XXII FEBRAVA – International Fair for Refrigeration, Air Conditioning, Ventilation, Heating and Air Treatment at São Paulo Expo in São Paulo – SP.
Deadline for Registrations
- Submission of abstracts – 12/04
- Evaluation and acceptance of abstracts – 17/04
- Submission of the final paper – 26/05
- Evaluation and acceptance of papers – 24/06
Evaluation criteria
The Organizing Committee will evaluate the received papers and assemble the conference program according to its own criteria. In the classification, some points will receive special attention:
- Paper’s relevance within the selected topic;
- Consultation sources relevance and the author’s familiarity with them;
- Conclusion’s quality and its practical applications;
- Innovation, creativity and students, technicians and engineers interest attraction;
- Time availability within the congress program.
Beyond the theme for the 2021 edition “HVAC-R Trends and Impacts on people’s quality of life and safety”, are also defined the sub-themes, they are:
Eco-efficiency, zero balance - projects and facilities;
Alternative energy sources: Geothermal, Photovoltaic and Solar Heating;
HVAC-R inserted in distributed generation and cogeneration;
Heating and Cooling using natural gas, biogas or heat recovery;
Sustainability - solutions to minimize the impact on global warming;
Labeling and Certification;
Energy efficiency and retrofit of equipment and facilities;
Refrigerant fluids (application, use, handling, safety and new technologies);
Commercial and industrial refrigeration: manufacturing, storage, transportation, commerce and food security
Technological innovation in supermarkets and food industries;
Refrigerated transport;
Air conditioning in means of transport;
PMOC and maintenance, operation and good practices management;
Indoor Environment quality and safety;
Water treatment for HVAC-R systems;
Ventilation, pressurization, smoke extraction, industrial kitchens;
Security in the installation, HVAC-R systems operation and maintenance;
Clean rooms and controlled environments (Clean Room);
Air conditioning in health care establishments;
HVAC-R systems and processes simulation;
Commissioning, Qualification and Validation;
4.0 Industry and Automation Systems.
Abstracts & Papers Submission Standards
- Step 1: Inscreva-se no Sympla e receba todas as informações de Submissão do trabalho por email.
- Step 2: Envio do Resumo/abstract (máx.500 palavras); O resumo deverá ser preenchido no campo designado do sistema. Não é necessário anexar documentos.
- Step 3: Paper text: Presented in “Word, Arial 12 font, A4 Format – 12 pages maximum (Download the complete template in Portuguese).
- Step 4: Presentation: Deliver in “Power Point, in events official template, 30 slides maximum .
Abstracts and Papers should be sent along with presenter(s) brief resume, 5 lines maximum and contact details (full address, e-mail, landline and cell phone).
Abstracts / papers presentation may be in the following languages: Portuguese, Spanish or English.

Aiming to encourage new ideas and the exchange of innovative experiences, the EVENT awards the three best papers, elected by the participants. This is a way to recognize, prize and present to the market the work developed by our professionals.
